Our Board of Directors represent all residents of Washington County. To qualify you must be a resident of, or work in Washington County and represent the broad interests of Washington County.

Mark Cobb, Treasurer
Mark is the owner of Cobb Oil Co. He is Captain of the Brighton Fire Department, a past Chairman of WEDG and past Brighton City Council member
Zach Haworth, Vice President
Zach has been a resident of Washington County since 2014 when he relocated to the area to become the Park Ranger of Lake Darling State Park. Zach and his wife Stefanie have three children, Sawyer Tschantz, Parker Tschantz and Stella Haworth. Stephanie is the Head Coach for the Washington HS Cross Country and Girls Track teams. Zach graduated from Simpson College with degrees in exercise science and environmental science. He also played football for the Storm. In his free time, Zach enjoys traveling with his family, attending kids’ events and playing golf.
Todd Patterson
Todd and his wife Dana have lived in Washington for the past 20 years. They have 4 children, Emme, Kiowa, Joe, Ethan and a granddaughter, Scout. Todd has served as the CEO of Washington County Hospital and Clinics for 5 years and was at the University of Iowa Health Care for 2 decades prior to that. His wife Dana is co-owner of DeLong Construction in Washington. During his free time, Todd enjoys sports, playing drums for several local bands, participating in local theater and spending time with family. He graduated with a BA and an MBA from the University of Iowa.
Becky Rich
Becky has lived in Washington since 2009. She is the owner of Rich Group, which provides consulting services to financial institutions. Becky graduated from Iowa State University. She enjoys spending time with her dog, her family and friends as well as hiking and traveling.
Karen Dennler
Karen and her husband Darren live on an acreage outside of Crawfordsville. They have one daughter, Zoey. Karen has a degree in Social Work from the University of Northern Iowa. She is employed with the 8th Judicial District as a Supervisor for Juvenile Court Services. Karen is involved in Crawfordsville QRS, Washington County EMS, Crawfordsville Community Club, WACO FFA Alumni and 4H Youth Committee. In her free time Karen enjoys horseback riding, kayaking, baking and hanging with friends and family.
Patrick Gavin
Patrick and his wife Brittany live outside Washington with their three kids, Karden, Wyatt and Brylie. He has a Bachelors in Business Administration from AIB College of Business, and is the Chief Credit Officer at CBI Bank and Trust. In his free time he enjoys attending his childrens sporting events and camping with his family.
Jan Dallmeyer
Jan and her husband Kurt farm north of Washington. They have 3 grown children and one grandson. Jan does the bookkeeping for the row crop, cattle and trucking business. She also runs equipment during planting/harvesting and helps with cattle work. Jan is also employeed by the Washington County Fair Association as the office/fair manager. Jan is a member of Chapter MX P.E.O. and Washington County Master Gardeners. She has served on the Washington County Extension Board, volunteered at St. James School, WMS P.I.E. and WHS PTO. In her free time she likes to travel and spend time with family and friends.
Ryan Rogerson - Ex Officio Member Riverside City Council
Ryan has lived in Riverside for 25 years. He has two children, Piper and Jack. He is employed by Van Meter Inc. as an Inside salesperson. In his spare time, he is active with several local charities. He enjoys watching the Kansas City Chiefs, Iowa Hawkeyes and Sprint Car & Formula 1 racing.
Brandon Hamilton, President
Brandon and his wife Meghan have lived in Washington since 2007. They have two children, Ty and Brynn. Brandon has a BA in Criminal Justice from Briar Cliff University. Brandon has been a certified peace officer since 2008 and served with the City of Washington Police Department and the Washington County Sheriff’s Office for over eleven years. In October of 2019 Brandon took over as Director for Washington County Outreach. In his free time Brandon enjoys spending time with family and friends, being outdoors and playing as much golf as possible.
Jake Engle, Secretary
A lifelong resident of Washington, Jake joined the board in 2023. He received his Bachelor’s Degree in History from the University of Iowa and has been a social studies teacher at Fairfield High School since 2020. Jake is currently finishing his Master’s Degree in Teaching and Leadership at the University of Iowa. He is an avid Iowa Hawkeye fan, never missing a basketball game. He also enjoys attending country music concerts, taking care of his plants and his golden retriever.
David Hoffman
David and his wife Shelly moved to Washington in 1998. They have three children, Jordan, Justin, and Sydney. David served as the Principal of Lincoln School for 18 years. The last five years David has served as the President of WCDC, Inc. He enjoys spending time with his family and dogs, traveling, and sports. David graduated with a BA from Wartburg College and his Master’s Degree from the University of Northern Iowa.
Jon Read
Originally from Cedar Rapids, Jon has lived in Washington since 2016 with his wife Jessica and 3 kids, Kaden, Charlee and Wylie. Jon graduated from Iowa State University and studied Marketing and Finance. Jon is currently a Senior Wealth Management advisor for Carson Wealth in Cedar Rapids helping people plan for retirement and manage their taxes. In his free time, Jon loves going to his kids’ activities as well as playing golf, hunting, running in triathlons, half marathons and mud runs.
Andy Rowe
Andy and his wife Melody live in Wellman. Andy grew up in the Wellman area and returned to farm in 2010 after teaching Agricultural Education/ FFA for 34 years at Iowa Valley CSD in Marengo. Andy has two children and seven grandchildren. He is a graduate of Iowa State University with a BS and MS in Agricultural Education. In his free time he enjoys collection and restoring farm toys.
Nolan Burke
Nolan moved to Washington County in 2010 after graduating from Upper Iowa University with a Bachelor’s Degree in conservation management. Nolan lives with his wife, Amanda, son Hoyt, and daughter Tymber in rural Washington. Nolan works as a K9 Deputy for the Washington County Sheriff’s Office. Nolan also owns and operates a custom venison processing locker. In his free time Nolan enjoys hunting, riding dirt bikes, and spending time with his family outdoors.
