Congratulations Jim Logan!


Longtime Executive Assistant Jim Logan retired today from the Washington County Riverboat Foundation. He had been with the Foundation since January 2007. Jim helped create and implement policies and procedures for thousands of grant award recipients that have touched all of Washington County and beyond. We are deeply grateful for Jim's work with the Riverboat Foundation. Jim will now have more time to spend with his beautiful family. Best wishes!


2019 Spring Grants

Now taking applications for Spring!



The Washington County Riverboat Foundation (WCRF) is pleased to announce that the application for the Spring 2019 Grant Period is now available. The WCRF would advise all applicants to review the guidelines before filing their application.The deadline for this period's application is 5:00 pm on April 3, 2019.

Applications that are received before March 22nd will be reviewed for any errors. Applications with errors received after March 22nd may not be accepted.

WCRF Welcomes New Executive Assistant


Washington County Riverboat Foundation is pleased to welcome Patty Koller as our new Executive Assistant. She replaces Jim Logan who is retiring in January. Patty has a great history with WCRF as she was a member of the original board formed in 2004 to bring a casino to Washington County. She also served several years as President and Vice President.  She brings a great knowledge of the workings of both the board and the casino.

WCRF Announces Fall Grant Winners

The Washington County Riverboat Foundation (WCRF) is pleased to announce 41 grants totaling $1,006,168 in Fall 2018 awards through its Competitive Grant program. Applications were due Oct 3rd, 2018 for this round of grants.

The WCRF Board of Directors made the decision on grant awards at its November 14th Board meeting.  To view a list of the awards click here.



WCRF Announces Application for Director Opening


Washington County Riverboat Foundation (WCRF) is now taking applications to fill one director position. The director term will expire January 1, 2022.  To view the application Click Here.

The board will accept applications from anyone who resides in rural Washington County. WCRF would also note that directors do not represent the areas where they live or work but represent the entire Washington County area.

Eligible persons should also be aware that they will be required to undergo an extensive background check by the Iowa Department of Criminal Investigation and be required to attend meetings at different locations around the county. Both meeting time and travel is uncompensated as this a volunteer position.

The deadline for submitting applications is October 4, 2018.

WCRF Now Taking Applications for Executive Assistant


Washington County Riverboat Foundation is now taking applications for Executive Assistant. 

This position represents the Board to the public, and requires a consistent professional appearance and demeanor. Generally the Executive Assistant will direct and coordinate operations of this nonprofit Foundation, to provide information to the general public about the missions of the Foundation, oversee grants made by the Foundation and report observations to the Board.
