WCRF Announces 2014 Mini Grant Winners

  The Washington County Riverboat Foundation (WCRF) is pleased to announce 52 grants totaling $99,936 in awards through its 2014 Mini Grant program. The Mini Grants were designed to reach applicants who had a small project they would like to complete.


The WCRF Board of Directors made the decision on grant awards at its July 16th Board meeting.  WCRF Board President, Patty Koller, congratulated the award winners and commented that the “grant awards were for excellent projects around the area that will serve diverse and important needs.  The Foundation Board is pleased to assist area nonprofit organizations to complete projects that might not happen without our financial support.”

WCRF Announces 2nd Quarter Municipal Grants

.   The Washington County Riverboat Foundation (WCRF) is pleased to announce 9 second quarter city grant awards totaling $ 227,199.09 through its Municipal Grant program.

WCRF Municipal Grant program distributes 25% of its total revenues directly to the cities in Washington County based on population.  For 2014, WCRF has distributed $416,761.23 to the nine cities in Washington County and $6,369,788.43 in Municipal Grants since its inception.  These funds are programmed by each City Council.

WCRF Announces Spring 2014 Grant Winners

  The Washington County Riverboat Foundation (WCRF) is pleased to announce 54 grants totaling $998,443 in Spring 2014 awards through its Competitive Grant program. Applications were due April 10, 2014 for this round of grants.



The WCRF Board of Directors made the decision on grant awards at its May 21st Board meeting.  WCRF Board President, Patty Koller, congratulated the award winners and commented that the “grant awards were for excellent projects around the area that will serve diverse and important needs”.  The Foundation Board is pleased to assist area nonprofit organizations and local governments to complete projects that might not happen without our financial support.”

Mini Grant Applications Are Now Available

Washington County Riverboat Foundation 2014 Mini Grant Applications are now available. Mini Grants  applications are limited to a maximum of $2,000.  WCRF will give out up to $100,000 in Mini Grants this grant cycle. Mini Grants are catered to small non-profit organizations who would like to do a special project. Applications are due in our office by 5:00pm on Wednesday, June 18, 2014.  Click here for the guidelines and the application.

WCRF Receives 78 Grant Applications for Spring 2014

Washington County Riverboat Foundation (WCRF) received 78 applications requesting $4,677,794 for their Spring 2014 grant period.  The applications are now in the hands of the board members who will be reviewing them.  The vote and announcement of the winners will be May 21st at the Riverside Casino and Golf Resort.  To view a list of the applicants click here.

Grant Applications Due April 10th

Grant Applications are due in our office by 5:00pm on April 10, 2014 . Some things that it will be helpful to remember in the process are:
  1. Submit your application as early as possible. By doing this we have a chance to look over your application for any errors or missing documentation. Any Applications that are received before April 1 will be reviewed for errors. Applications with errors received after April 1 may not be accepted.
  2. Only attached tax documents, Certificate of Standing, and IRS Non-profit determination letter to the original not the copies
  3. If you are submitting a resolution from a governing body (schools, government) only attach it to the original.
  4. Staple all applications. No paper clips, etc.
  5. Remember the application should be in its original form. (No colored paper, plastic covers, folders, or cover sheets. Do not reformat this application form.
  6. Remember its 15 copies and 1 original for a total of 16 applications
  7. When submitting an electronic copy do it in word format.

Spring 2014 Grant Applications Are Now Being Accepted

The Washington County Riverboat Foundation (WCRF) is pleased to announce that the applications for the Spring 2014 Grants are now available. The WCRF would advise all applicants to review the guidelines before filing their application as some procedures have changed. The deadline for this period's application is 5:00pm on April 10, 2014.
Applications that are received before April 1st will be reviewed for any errors. Applications with errors received after April 1st may not be accepted.
