2017 MINI-GRANT  GUIDELINES


v Mini Grants are catered to small non-profit organizations who would like to do a special project.
v Applications are due by 5:00pm on Wednesday, June 21, 2017.
v Submit five (5) copies, paper clipped together, of the one-page application to:
                         Washington County Riverboat Foundation
                                         205 West Main Street
                                       Washington, IA  52353
v Do not attach other supporting materials with the application.
v Maximum grant request of $2,000.
v No matching funds are required to apply.
v If this project will take place on school or government property you will need to supply one copy of a resolution from the governing body approving your application, as per the usual Competitive Fund grant applications.
v Applicants should plan on being present at an evening awards ceremony on Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at the Riverside Casino and Golf Resort.  Checks will only be distributed at the awards ceremony. Invited grantees that do not attend do not get a check…
v Applicants  must submit one copy of each of the following (along with 5 copies of the one-page application):
¨     Federal IRS Non-Profit Determination Letter. To get one, call the IRS at 1-877-829-5500 to request a free copy.
and
¨     Iowa Secretary of State “Certificate of Standing” or “Certificate of Existence” from the last 2 years. To get one, call the SOS at (515) 281-5204. There is a nominal charge.
