WCRF Tops $5,000,000 in Municipal Grants


.   The Washington County Riverboat Foundation (WCRF) is pleased to announce 9 fourth quarter city grant awards totaling $187,315.26 through its Municipal Grant program.

WCRF Municipal Grant program distributes 25% of its total revenues directly to the cities in Washington County based on population.  For 2012, WCRF distributed $839,458.37 to the nine cities in Washington County and $5,111,201.84 in Municipal Grants since its inception.  These funds are programmed by each City Council.

WCRF Announces Fall 2012 Grant Winners

Washington County Riverboat Foundation is pleased to announce our  Fall Grant Winners.  WCRF awarded 52 Grants totaling $1,100,489 at a special reception December 5th for Grant Winners. The reception was held at the Riverside Casino and Golf Resort Events Center.  To see a list of winners click here.

WCRF To Announce Fall Grant Winners December 5th

The fall grant period has ended. WCRF received 81 applications asking for $2,313,132.  To view grant applicants click here.  The board is now in the process of reading all the applications and will be giving feedback to the Grant Review Committee.  The committee will then meet and decide on which applications they will submit to the board for approval.  The board will vote and present the winning applications at 6:00pm on December 5th at the Riverside Casino and Golf Resort.

WCRF Awards 53 Mini Grants

Washington County Riverboat Foundation is proud to announce the awarding of 53 Mini Grants totaling $97,972.  These winners were chosen from 130 applications.  To view the list of winners click here.

Washington County Honor Flight

We are proud to be the major sponsor of the September 18th Washington County Honor Flight to Washington, D.C. This flight is open to all veterans of WWII and is at no cost to the veteran.  They are also looking for guardians to accompany the veterans. The deadline to sign up is Tuesday, July 31st. Mini Grant Deadline

Just a reminder that Mini Grant applications are due in our office by 5:00pm on July 12, 2012. The application is a simple one page application and is catered to small non profits who would like to do a special project. To view the application and guidelines click here.

2012 Mini Grant Applications Are Now Available

Washington County Riverboat Foundation 2012 Mini Grant Applications are now available. Mini Grants  applications are limited to a maximum of $2,000.  WCRF will give out up to $100,000 in Mini Grants this grant cycle.  Applications are due in our office by 5:00pm on July 12, 2012.  Click here for the guidelines and the application.

WCRF Awards $1,199,891 in Spring 2012 Grants

At their meeting on May 16th Washington County Riverboat Foundation awarded grants to 45 recipients totaling $1,199,891.00.  To view a list of the winners click here.

WCRF to Announce Spring 2012 Grant Winners

The Grant Review Committee has finalized their recommendations to the board.  Their recommendations will be voted on by the entire board at the next meeting. Email invitations were sent on May 7th to those people whose grant applications will be recommended .  It’s important to note however that nothing is final until the board votes.  The meeting is Wednesday, May 16 in the Riverside Casino and Golf Resort Events Center at 6:00pm

WCRF Annouces Spring 2012 Grant Applicants

The submission period for Spring 2012 grant applications ended Thursday April 12th. The Washington County Riverboat Foundation received 78 applications asking for $3,856,956. To see a list of grant applicants click here. The copies of the applications are now in the hands of the directors who have about 2 weeks to review them. After they are done the Grant Review Committee will meet to narrow down the applications

WCRF Announces Largest 1st Quarter Municipal Grants

The Washington County Riverboat Foundation (WCRF) is pleased to announce 9 first quarter city grant awards totaling $209,238.45 through its Municipal Grant program. This is the largest amount of 1st Quarter grants we have given out.

WCRF Municipal Grant program distributes 25% of its total revenues directly to the cities in Washington County based on population.  In 2011, WCRF distributed $841,886 to the nine cities in Washington County and $4,480,981 in Municipal Grants since its inception.  These funds are programmed by each City Council.

Applications For The Spring 2012 Grants Are Now Available

The Washington County Riverboat Foundation (WCRF) is pleased to announce that the applications for the Spring 2012 Grants are now available.The WCRF would advise all applicants to review the guidelines before filing their application as some procedures have changed. The deadline for this period's application is 5:00pm on April 12, 2012.


Applications that are received before April 1 will be reviewed for any errors. Applications with errors received after April 1 may not be accepted.
